Hey big v been super busy lately track everyday now and musical practices are like 4+ hours long buttt.....
Yesterdays workouts was super good one of my absolute best lately
In bench I hit 165x2 three times so I hit my three doubles
In btn push press I hit 135x5
In CGBP I hit 140x6
In tricep pushdowns I hit 90x4
Loved the workout hit some good numbers and felt great

I've come to realize a couple things in my lifting "career"
1. I suck at squats
2. I suck at squats
3. I suck at squats
4. I suck at lifting with aeorbic exercise before hand
So running and then squatting today sucked got like 205x2 not even to legal depth I'm posting up a form vid saturday and going to try and straighten this out
Was angry so did nothing of value while in the weight room except some plyos

And you'll continue to "suck at squats" as long as you have that attitude. Focus on what you're doing right. Accentuate the positive. You got into the gym. You got under the bar. You attempted to squat. Give yourself some credit. That's more than I did today. You out squatted me. You mentioned the aerobic exercise before hand, could that be part of the problem? If so, then write off today's experience. You're involved in track, a musical, and who knows what other school activities. THAT IS FANTASTIC! It is part of the high school experience that you're never going to get back. You should embrace these years while you can and experience every bit of enjoyment that they have to offer. BUT you need to realize that as long as you're involved in all these activities, you're going to have a sub-optimal workout from time to time. Next time it happens, do this: walk away from the squat rack for a couple of minutes. Accept what's happening (I'm having a bad squat day). Clear your mind. Calmly get back in the squat rack, and get yourself 3-5 good quality reps - even if you have to drop some weight. Remember how those reps felt and let that feeling carry you to your next squat day. Keep your chin up. You're doing many great things. You have the rest of your life to lift weights. You've only got so much more time in high school.

Well today's workout went fairly good
Deadlifts got up to 320x3 which was good but form sucked a little bit. PR
Tried to do powercleans after this but I was just exhausted so I did 135x5 [will do these first now]
did strict barbell rows got 135x7
neutral grip cable rows got 150x4
Weighted hyperextions did some with a 25

Man, I sucked at bench. Really sucked. Just keep after it one rep at a time and you'll get there. I don't mean to over-simplify things. Just don't quit pushing.
