The log I've not really done very much training since last August. My job's been taking over my life, and a couple of injuries have limited what I can do when I'm in the gym. I have some bone nodules floating around in my elbow, symptoms of degenerative arthritis, and I have what I think is a rotator cuff tear. I picked up the latter doing DB laterals - I was doing them to avoid over-stressing my elbow! Anyway, though the weights will be light and the training infrequent (and far from serious), I'll have a go at logging again. Sunday Bent over rows 60 (132) X 10 80 (176) X 10 90 (200) X 8 95 (210 X 6 Stiff-legged deadlifts 60 (132) X 5 110 (242) X 5 140 (308) X 5 140 (308) X 5 140 (308) X 5 Standing DB press 12 (26) X 12 14 (40) X 12 16 (40) X 12 18 (40) X 12 Really pleased with those DB presses as those are the first I've been able to do (with over 10kg) without my shoulder/rotator cuff playing up. If I can stop myself from going mad on these, it may be a sign that it's recovering. A year ago, I was stiff-legged deadlifting 308 X 16, if I remember correctly. Ah well.

Thanks gentlemen.
Today's George Peppard fact In 1974, George fell down stairs in his Malibu home. The injury prevented him from taking the role of Fonzie in Happy Days. George sued his own knees for causing the accident. His knees counter-sued for defamation. Eventually an independent arbitrator brought about a reconciliation, but George never really got over the incident, and he often said that he would trade all his worldly goods for a pair of reliable mid-leg joints. Friday Another small increase in strength. Rotator cuff and elbow injury seems to be holding up on DB bench press. Weights still modest at the moment. DB bench press 20s (44) X 12 30s (66) X 12 32 (70) X 12 32 (70) X 11 32 (70) X 10 Front squats 60 (132) X 5 100 (221) X 5 120 (265) X 4 Belt on 130 (286) X 3 140 (308) X 2 Alternate DB curls 20s (44) X 5 22s (48) X 5 24s (52) X 4 26s (57) X 3

I did try that Iain. My belly hung down over my knees like a vast pastry apron.
