12/02/13 - Lower Body 1
Squat (prescribed reps) 165x1 (5) 176x1 (5) 187.5x11 (5+) Solid, felt a lot better than last week. Speed Box Squat (1 extra level) 90+blue bands x3x8 sets Felt fast and explosive. Tweaked my box squat form a little and really drove up with my hips whilst still keeping my back nice and tight. Felt good. The box we use has a basic box then three smaller pieces to increase the height so for this I put it up by one extra level. Leg Press 150x10 225x6 300x6 365x6 400x2 325x10 Wanted to do this for fun. It didn't go very well. I'll go back to RDLs next week. Barbell Reverse Lunges 60x10 70x10 80x8 Ouch. Good session, pleased with the squats. Quote:

14/02/13 - Lower Body 2
5" Block Sumo Deadlift 220x3 250x3 270x3 282.5x1 292.5x0 Meh. High Box Squat - 3-high, cambered bar 180+green bands (220 total maybe?)x10x2 sets Christ, that sucked. RDL 140x10x4 sets Christ, that also sucked. Explosive Leg Extension 80x10x5 sets Yeah, that wasn't much fun either. Session was tough, I was a broken mess by the end. Usually I'd never do this kind of volume on Thursday, but I'm away seeing family this weekend so I'm missing football training so it's all good. One day's rest really doesn't feel enough between Tuesday and Thursday's lower body sessions so I think I'm going to change things up. I'll have an update in regards to this next week methinks. Have an idea of what I'm going to do though.
