Default Nov 20, 2009

Ok, first workout in the log on here, all in all a good day.

Squats- 1x5 180ibs ( a few notes, this is the first time i've done squats in a while, so im working to build back to my previous level, could have done more, but took a good whack in the head trying to rack the bar)

Push press- 1x5 110ibs (funny thing is thats a pr)

Power clean- 1x2 125ibs (just added these in, so still getting used to form, but weight is moving up nicely)

BB curl- 1x5 90ibs (just started doing these again, working on getting my strength up)

like i said a good day, pr's in 2/4 lifts so im not complaining. still wish i had put the weight fully on the rack before coming out from under it

I'm in your shoes Grim. I'm working my way back as well. It does get better. In fact I think it is safe to say that my speed on this comeback is starting to get better. Still have a few lingering aches and pains from old injurys, but I'm working through all of it.

Good luck with your presses and that shoulder.

thanks brother, i've been setting and smashing goals regularly with this workout, something i rarely did with my other ones, and as stated before power cleans have become one of my favorite exercises. I wish you much success on your comeback

Nice. BB curl numbers are good. I had stopped BB curl for a while until I started on Hatfield's routine, but alas, now, life being what it is, I manage to squeeze in may be a couple of sessions a week, with no time for isolations, doing just cleans, deads, bench and squat.

Good workout Grim. That push press is nothing to be ashamed about. I only do seated military presses with 145, and I've been lifting 20 years longer then you.

Overhead lifts take forever to get stronger, just keep up with it and don't neglect it, and your will put on some solid poundage over the months which turn into years before you know it.
