Good work Cutty. Overall the form looks decent. I can't fault anything from those videos. Just keep driving those hips forward when locking out.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks. I still have really tight hips and upper hamstrings so it's something I work on a lot, makes me want to not sit back as much as I need to.

You have a slight arch in your upper back i would try to work out. Try retracting your shoulders slightly and without cranking the head back just look up slightly instead of just forward.
As far as your heavy lifts i see your upper body is a little slow to the lower body. Your hips lock out and then you still finishing the lift kinda like a romanian. in your speed lifts you can see your hips and shoulders lock out almost simultaneously. Thats how the heavy ones should finish too. Lighten up the weight some if you can't hit that lock out good and then build it back up. Just don't wanna see you strain somethin in your back. Looking good my friend and strong as hell keep hard at it!! |

My right shoulder still hurts which was keeping me from keeping a tighter upper back.. My friends said to try to squeeze the blades back too on lift. I was little off I could feel in the lift but I managed through it. On my deload week I'm going to keep working on dialing in my form.. I recently changed it up a bit so old habits shine through still on heavy loads.
Was either going to go face first into the wall, get massive cramps in hams or just drop to the ground. To hell with all the people looking at me. Keep doing your 10lb curls, they are really starting to show

![]() Friday - 2/8/2013 PRs and long lifting goals were had today. Bench - 135, 170,205, 235x5, 275x3, 205x8 - (275x3 PR. Never ever even tried that weight before, pretty gnarly for me) BB Rows - 105, 130, 160, 185x5, 225x5, 160x8 (225x5!!! Programmed to do 3 but was too stoked to get it) Floor Press - 135, 145, 145, 155x8 Pull Downs (Wide) - 160, 170, 180, 190x8 Ever since I heard how awesome the bb row is and when I fumbled with the bar and could barely get 95 I always have wanted to do 225 rows. Now I'm doing them with no straps and just man handling them. Kept form in check, no over zealous pulling.. Explosive as hell but wasn't using a cheater pull. The d-bag that curls 40s with a weight belt was there and to my surprise he was doing squats.. I've never seen him do any compound lift at all. He laughs at me a lot and when he was struggling to quarter squat 185 and I started rowing 225 he ended up leaving. Hopefully he gets the idea. Get strong my friends. |
