![]() So off I went to Oldham today to train with some friends off Sugden. Tom, John and I also met 'Hypertrophy Jack' and 'Atrophy Max. It was quite a trip as I drove mostly through the villages and farmland, due to this I felt like I was on a vision quest to Mordor as I passed strange places like Chinley 'Upon the High Peaks'. Most of the people along the way also looked like trolls and goblins too, since in all likely hood they were massively inbred. Obviously that all changed as I got to Oldham. Sunday 27th January Shit tonnes of cardio (about 6 minutes) Stretching High Bar Squats, beltless 20kg x ? 60kg x ? 100kg x ? 120kg x 2 140kg x 2 160kg x 1 182.5kg x 1 PR! At this point I realised this was not only a PR, but one done without my knee sleeves as well. Double win. Tom assured me I was in, which by internet standards means my bollocks hit the floor. Bench Press 20kg x ? 60kg x 3 80kg x 1 100kg x 1 80kg x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 SLDL, beltless 70kg x 3 120kg x 3 170kg x 1 200kg x 1 212.5kg x 1 PR! 200kg x 3 Solid session, taking roughly 4 hours. Got some nice pointers on stuff from Tom and a nice pic of us all to boot. |

Al - Indeed, really good bunch of lads too. Good banter all around and nice friendly atmosphere.
Hunter - Aye, left at around 8am this morning. Fun though. Steve - We do indeed. Small PR's today, this is the week for Deadlift PR's. I'm not feeling as confident as I probably should, but we'll see how it goes. |
