I agree wholeheartedly, that any lifting is beneficial and it's what your body was telling you anyway. You sure as hell didn't get any weaker doing what you did.

Are you a student and a chef?

Yeah man. I've been cooking professionally for around 3 years now and started back in school this semester after a hiatus just as long. It's pretty brutal juggling everything, but I manage. Somehow.

And to clarify, I'm not an exec or sous chef, just a line cook. One of those is a few years off

No, no. Not a hitman... yet. I created this account AGES ago, it seems. It was something from the first go-around of college. I always imagine I'd be like John Cusack in Gross Pointe Blank if I took on that line of work.

The title of my log has taken on an entirely different meaning now that I have committed to competing at some point in the next 3-6 months. It is no longer a health thing. It is a get big, get strong, kick ass and take names thing. I'm thankful for this community and all the support I get from all of you. It means the world to me, and is the swift kick in the ass I need sometimes.

ROLL TIDE.
Words to live by... Glad to see you doing well on the 3x3... The pre w/o supp is almost mandatory in the high volume phase. I do the same thing and bring some powder in a small container to work, and sip on it. St. Paddy's day will be a def...

But it did kinda throw my day all sorts of off. Got things straightened out with my pin and all when I finally got around to training. But my day just kinda stunk in the gym. I was crunched for time, I had a lot on my mind, and we've been super-busy at work all week, so my body wasn't really feeling it either. Backed off the volume, probably could have pushed for more, but I'm glad I didn't. Tonight was crazy at work. Cooked my ass off for about 4 straight hours. Definitely got that cardio in.

Deadlifts:
240/5x5

Squats
225/5x5

Bench
140/6x6

Not a stellar day by any stretch, but anything is better than nothing sometimes. I've pushed hard all week, so I'm not too upset.
When you haven't recovered enough from the week, training can be a mutha... The 3x3 gets much harder towards the end anyway, but it looks like you have the right mentality.. Keep up the great work.
