January 8th, 2013

Just manhandled deadlifts today. First time in 4 months. I can officially say my lower back is 100%.

I could have repped my max set for 2-3 more reps if I wanted took. Stayed on the side of caution.

Deadlifts - Low Rack Pulls @ 4"
135 x 3
225 x 1
315 x 1
405 x 1
495 x 1
585 x 1
585 + 60lbs Chains x 1

585 + 120lbs Chains x 4

Need to adjust chains yet. Top end weight was probably 650-660ish because some chain was left on the ground.

Either case this was strong.

You feel those chains at the top? The times I used those or bands it was like hitting a brick wall sometimes! I think this will add a new dynamic to your training. Should be able to keep the lower back fresh while working on pulling some heavier stuff at the top.

I can feel them, but not enough yet. I am weaker mid range and strong on the top third so I need to adjust the chains so the entire thing comes off the ground at lockout.
