290 looked real solid. If anything, you are sinking your hips too low. Allow them to come up a hair until you feel that sweet leverage spot.

325 was actually better. Your hips were in a nice spot.

Ok....so I have am nearing the end of the 3rd week (1st Cycle) of Wendler's 5/3/1 Powerlifting Progression Training. When I set up my % for each set, I used Jefit's calcualtion to come up with my 1rm based on reps and weight that I had done previously. On Tuesday, I did my 95% (of 345#) Deadlift which is 325#. The goal was 1+ (to fail).....and I managed to pull 325# for 3 reps....which may mean that my 1rm is higher than when I first started....

I have never attempted 1 Rep Maxes simply due to training solo.

When should I attempt to go for 1RMs? I don't wanna be traing with weight that is under what I should be training at.....

Well if you squat and bench in a power rack theres no worry about trying maxes. However, with 5/3/1 you can calculate your 1RM using any rep ammounts. Honestly dont worry too much about your true 1RM, focus on progression and form...the strength and numbers will come . Keep workin hard!

I just pick stuff up and put stuff down. Actually the guy I was training with (mini-monster) is the real volume whore. I just let him lead the way after my 2nd required movement for the night. With not me having someone directly to learn from or train with...I will sponge up every chance I get to train with a willing person. Chad happens to such a willing person and every time I train with him I tell him to "Break me off" which is Army lingo for abusive the body until muscle failure or beyond.
