Pendlay Rows 120 lbs x10x6x9 = 25, up next time
Kirk Rows 120 lbs x8x7x7 = 22
DB Bench 65 lbs 10x9x6 = 25, up next time
Mil Press 90 lbs x9x8x7 = 24

Rating: 9/10

Another good W/O, I was worn out by the end.

Training partner showed again. Looks like he might become a permanant fixture at the MoeGym.

For that, I am glad. Just by being there he certainly pushes me to try harder.

Pendlay's are one of my favorite lifts. Strong pressing as well. It's a good thing you stick to the routine and not chase numbers considering you now have "friendly" competition.

At my age Jim, I TRY to keep ego out of the picture....but I will admit, being a little stronger than the neighborhood "strongman" does feel good....and he is hating it!! Put both of those together and it is resulting in some pretty intense workouts.

Thanks BTB, no matter how great...or crappy....my day goes, I try to start each workout with a clean slate mentally and go UP from there.

Lee, a few month back, my bench progression was at a stand still and I could not imagine my bench working weight at 200 within 6 months, but looks like it will happen....,

I started doing all this on one day because of my back injury, and wanted to get deads and squats on their own day because they were the most affected, but as I continue I am REALLY liking the way this setup is working, and I think I will stick with it a while. Having deads and squats on their own day will let me give them all I have, and not worry about having nothing left for everything else.

Wednesday 1-16-13

Back still a concern, today was just to see where I was as far as how much I could lift without back pain.

Deads:
135 x 4
175 x 4
195 x 3
235 x 3
255 x 3
275 x 1

EXCELLENT, 275 is my current working weight. NO PAIN at all. I told myself next deadlift day I will start back up where I left off pre injury.

Sqquats:
145 x 4
165 x 4
185 x 4

CRAP....back strain reared its ugly head again......No I am pissed, probably right back to injury training......

Now its Thursday morning...back feeling MUCH better, hopefully by next Wednesday, I can still go back to 100%, at least on the deads anyway.

After reading yesterday about everyone trying Sumo deads, I tried a couple at the end of the dead workout...and they felt pretty good, might start incorporating them in a little. We'll see.

Rating:
first half (deads) 9/10
seconh half (squats) 4/10
overall 8/10....I like deads a lot more......
