Friday, January 11. 2013 Wave 3: 5/3/1 Squat 2x10x45 95x5 120x5 145x3 180x5 205x3 225x1 225x1 *Squats felt good. Leg Press *This is where my workout de-railed. I planned on doing some light leg presses for reps like I usually do until one of the guys who works at the gym (also a bodybuilder) asks if he could join me. I said sure. So, he starts loading up the leg press with multiple plates and I'm like, whoa slow down I don't usually do that much. He says ah, this is nothing. Anyways I end up killing my self on the leg press and has me try different foot positions to work different muscles and ect, I'm thinking to myself WTF is going on? I just get through squating 90-95% of my training max and now I'm beating myself up on leg presses. Could hardly walk afterwards... It was kinda funny though because just as I was coming in to squat he was doing half rep squats then as soon as I'm done squating and going to the leg press he jumps in with me. Thankfully my legs arent as sore as I thought they would be. Now I see why "heavy" assistant work isnt needed! |

Had the day off today, was feeling kinda bored so I decided to hit the gym. I been playing with upper body assistant work and havent really figured out what I could or should do so, I threw in some things that Jim Wendler recommended for Bench day. Had a pretty good workout, liked the feel of the assistant work.
