EliteDreams Powerlifting Log
What's up folks, after a winded introduction, the new guy here needs to say a few things about my training. I love straining under heavy weight. I love being big. After regretfully "wasted" time bouncing from one routine to another. Even though a particular day (Thursday) is a little hard to make time for,I'm going to stick to this one for at minimum 12 months, which means august 2013.
Its a bastardized version of "Westside" conjugate programming. I have not set up bands or chains yet and my training days are Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri Ab and neck work every day (when I feel like it). Will update later tonight with some front squats and sumo deads! Monday is Max Effort Lower. Squat,or deadlift variation, sometimes both. Hamstring assistance and sometimes calves. Tuesday is ME Upper. Typically bench, floor press, incline press or push-press. Lat and bicep assistance, plus rotator cuff work. I stopped doing direct rotator work for a couple weeks, shoulders hurt, started back and no more problems. Thursday is Dynamic Effort (speed) Lower. Squats and either deads or power cleans, plus low back assistance. Friday is DE Bench. Speed bench, triceps, delts and some sort of vertical back movement. |
Subbed. Good luck!

Monday November 4th - ME Lower Disclaimer: today wasn't great, but because of the excercise choice the weights were low. I've been living off advil and goody powerder for a couple days. Front Squat 245 x1 Been awhile, last 1RM was 185 I think. Too hard on the shoulders, can't do these much. Sumo Deadlifts - 305 x3 (singles) - 225 x3 The source of my drug addiction is a nasty cut in my right pointer finger. Knife advice: open fast, close SLOW. But its ok now, superglue and electrical tape! Squat video. Notice the pins are at different heights, not that that mattered. And my finger is wrapped in crappy 3M. |

http://muscleandbrawn.com/forums/for...d-youtube.html They auto-embed. You just have to be on the true page for that video when you get the URL. You are using a mobile URL. Strong work on the front squats. Very wide stance. Ever tried a conventional stance, or does that feel more natural for you? |
