I miss a few there honestly. But I don't miss the bs at all!!! Just overall detrimental to my success and goals to surround myself with misinformation and negativity. MAB is a positive site, great info and great people that are all working together. So....

As I said to Steve, I think he is ruining the site. I know he has an active acct at bb.com and is really turning M&S into another bb.com. I tried to stand up to him, but most members there put him on a pedestal - IMO it is because he's ripped, thus they think he knows what he's talking about. I'm sick & tired of the bodybuilder vs powerlifter mentality as well. Whenever I offered him a critique, it was, well, I'm a bodybuilder Jim. His form is not great and when it's critiqued, he emails Layne Norton, whose form is also poor, to justify his own poor form. All this even tho Steve and I gave him perfectly legit advice. I feel contacting Layne, who is not a member there, and posting up his advice went against the spirit of the forum. We are all unpaid amateurs there, giving our time everyday, to help each other.
Again, it's hard to fight him there because nobody will stand up to him. The bottom line is that he has very little to zero credibility, especially when it comes to form. He's a legend in his own mind. You cannot help people that don't want it, and I refuse to spend any more time trying. It's too bad really, that site used to be a thriving awesome forum. MAB is now, and I will do everything I can to keep it that way by being active and chiming in when I can with my thoughts and views. This is also a very respectful site. I absolutely love what Steve has done here.

I cannot stress enough how glad I am that I stumbled across this forum. I wanted something else for when I wasn't in the mood for M&S,and I certainly can't take the attitudes on bbing.com and tnation forums.
By all means discuss anything you wish,off topic discussions are fun! And yes,part of that rant was directed toward him. Like Steve said in a couple of the v-logs recently,powerlifters and bodybuilders are not as different as many people make it out to be. I plan on staying around M&S,but I plan on hammering these useless arguments whenever they come up. It drives people away from the forums. You guys on MAB have been so much of an encouragement,I hope to be here for a long time comin. Can't walk normally still. Rep work is hard! Might go in tomorrow and do some cleans and other stuff with a friend. We went mud boggin today wooh hoo! Depending on what's going down tomorrow,I may be around the site later tonight. Until then,stay brawny!

I wanted to stay as well Ben, but it came to the point where it was affecting me negatively mentally and I can't have that if I want to progress in any meaningful way on JB's program, which means everything to me.
I am referring mainly to a post where a member (not him) disrespected the sport of and all powerlifters. When I called him on it, he backtracked and said that is not what he meant. BS. Again, I stayed as long as I could because I really liked helping out the young guys. However, even they were becoming mesmerized by him. Thus I felt even I was not helping much. When I feel I am not helping much it's time to go. Even tho there are many more knowledgeable lifter here than me, some with world records, I still feel I can help in other ways and I feel respected even tho I lift nowhere near what they do. Thanks for allowing some discussion in your journal as well.

I can't thank you all enough! And believe it or not,I damn trained today! I also drove in a bad rainstorm which sucked.
Failed at cleans,did curls and 90lb one-arm overheads. More of a kill 30 minutes thing than anything else. Thy dare question my curls bro!
