Glad you had a relatively easy one Mike - I was not so fortunate as I am feeling a little beat up again today. This 8 rep stuff is murder.

I did my side bends with a DB in both hands and with the versagripps. I also did my arnolds seated.

Nice shopping day as well. You will need moar iron coming up!!

Seated or standing is a preference thing. I like to do mine seated as its easier on my back.

I also prefer seated for the same reason, except when I do Military Press I prefer standing..

Thanks for the tips JB. I'll slow down the Side Bends, Stand for Arnolds as I like doing them that way, and keep the pullups in there as long as they don't interfere.

Thanks Jim. Yeah, I had two weeks of BBB so I was a little bit prepared for this volume, but it's not so much the sets of 8s, it's the merciless pounding of one muscle group. I'm more used to fullbody type days, I've rarely taken any muscle group this close to exhaustion before. The recovery is something, that's for sure. However, that's probably why this program works, so I'll get it figured out and hit some bigger numbers in Feb. Then I might just do it all over again!

Friday, BBBT week 1

warmups: swings 2x 15, reverse hypers 2x 15, active hamstring stretches
DYnamic: 2x 10 Box Jumps to bench (low)

Low Rack Pulls:
7x 295
7x 300
2x 7x 315

Shrugs:
8x 365 (oof!!)
3x 10x 345

Rows:
5x 8x 155

Felt pretty good. I was worked by the end but not gasping.

7x 315:
7x 315, closed door so you can see better:

Working on being explosive and not babying deadlifts. My form gets a little wacky the further along I go with reps though.

10x 345:
10x 345, did these like a Clean Pull:

Not sure which way I should be shrugging, or if it even matters. I'll probably alternate both unless I should drop one. I like the Clean Pulls better, but I'd rather do whichever is more efective.

OK, there you go week one in the books. I feel massively strong. Looking forward to next week!

Great workout Mike! Not sure if one way is better than the other. Steve introduced me to power shrugs and I fell in love with them right away! Very explosive and my traps were destroyed for days! Will be doing them on a regular basis from now on.
