I need to get in a competition or two this year. Unfortunately, there's only 2 meets all year in Wisconsin. Wish there were more to choose from.
BTW, I put off my deadlift workout until tomorrow. The wife kept me up too late last night.

My body responds well to reps. I'm trying to push that responsiveness and see what happens. So far, so good.

11/16/2009: Deadlift Day
Workout Time: 53 minutes Workout Grade: A- What's the difference between demonic possession and a back pump? To the untrained eye, there is no difference. After my 315 deadlift warmup set, my back pump was insane. By the time I was 2 reps into my deadlfit set, every dog within a mile radius of my house was scampering for cover like the end of the world was on its way. If you've never had a severe back pump, then my story will seem like hyperbole. It's not. The hardest part of a back workout isn't the actual sets and reps...it's surviving without ripping your eyes out of your skull. I survived. Yelled. And thrived. Strength was up. Deadlift - 10 minute, rest-paused singles 405 x 9 Yates Rows - 30,30,60,60 second rest 170 x 9/5/4/4/4 T-Bar Rows - 30,30,60,60 second rest 145 x 8/4/3/3/4 Power Shrugs - 60 seconds rest 365 x 3/3/3/3/3/3
