I've devised a way to walk/trudge slowly without using the crutches and landing on the outer right part of my heel with the boot, but I can't go far distances. It still appears to be bleeding, but hopefully that will subside in the next 1-2 days. Gonna try showering for the first time since the event this evening - should be interesting haha |

First day of class with the boot - luckily I only had one class and it was a 3 hour exam :/
I also rocked a suit and the boot+crutches to a job interview ![]() Maybe I'll get some brownies points.... |

Thanks brother - hopefully I'll hear about the next round early this week.
Broken Toe Update So I met with an orthopedic person on Friday and get follow-up x-rays. He said, after one week, the little bit of healing that has occurred is right on par with the average recovery rate. However, he's somewhat concerned about the open wound on my big toe (created by when the weight dropped on it) - it's not looking too great and he's worried about secondary infection so he told me to soak my foot in triclosan 2-3x day and apply Betadine to the affected area after each soaking. I've also been wrapped the big toe and adjacent toe together with buddy tape as per his recommendation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my damn toe doesn't get infected. |

Phew, it's been 3 weeks since the incident. The toe is recovering nicely (although im still in the boot) and today I'm taking the plunge and going to walk in the gym for an upper body workout.
After I'm 100% again, I might actually *gasp* move away from Westside and move towards a more hypertrophy-oriented routine. I like how RJ Perkin's PHD-4 program looks |
