No doubt Jim - it's a very scientific approach to nutrition and I feel like it's worth trying and running to program as written. I ran CBL without the prep phase and even then, got some excellent strength and recovery gains.

I have actually cut out starchy carbs out of my diet for the past few weeks and have not experienced any additional weight loss. I thought I would.

3/21/13: Deadlift 5-rep, ULC Day 5
Goblet Squat: 50x10, 75x6 BB PC: 135x5 Deadlift 190x5 240x5 285x5 315x5 355x5 405x5 -> energy was $hit and these felt heavy as heck; blame the low carbs and adjustment period 355x5 315x5 BB Front Squat (according to SST template) 95x10 120x10 140x10 165x10 -> felt pretty good and knees stayed out BB GM: 135 x 3 x 8 45 Degree Leg Press: 4pps x 3 x 10 GHRs (4 pin length, and 0 pin height): bw x 3 x 13 -> finally found a form that hammers both hammies and glutes Weighted OHD Decline Crunch Bw+10x15 Bw+25 x 8, 7, 7, 6 |

It is almost Paleo. Only meat, veggies, fruit, seeds. The only grain I have eaten is brown rice. I had to cut out all dairy, soy, and nightshade plants (which include potato's, tomato's, peppers, and tobacco incidently, which I don't smoke anyway), besides being gluten free. This is to eat for auto-immune. All of these foods are known to increase inflammation in people with auto immune issues. I am also on IF with a 7 hour eating window.
