Default The Epic of Gilgamesh - Bodybygamma's Log

My name is Tony, I am currently 21 years old, have done 8 NAS strongman competitions, and 2 sanctioned power-lifting meets so far (SSA/IPA).

Here is my Youtube Channel of some of my past feats :

My best lifts are :

Dead-lift: 575*meet and 629*gym
Squat: 495*meet and 475x2reps*gym
Bench Press: 330*meet w/pause and 340 t&g
Narrow Grip Bench Press: 335lbs
Push press:260 axle c& p* comp. and 285 barbell and axle*gym
Strict Press:240
Log Clean once and Press: 271x2
330lb atlas stone 48-52 inches
800lbs tire flipped w/1 arm
700lb yolk medley w/ 260 farmers 60-80ft around 20 seconds
280 farmers 70ft/ 300lbs cylinder Farmers 26ft
800 yolk 15 ft
And that's all worth noting for now. I know I am good for way more.

Weighing in around the 255-265mark.Hand was hurt in October09 so for awhile I kept the workouts light and but now am looking to get strong(er) again. I am PROUDLY sponsored my this site, so I will keep this log updated for quite sometime.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I really appreciate it.

- Tony

I've not officially welcomed you, so welcome to the board. Nice workout. Good job on the PR!! Are you going to continue competing in strongman? Six events for a 20 year old. Very impressive.

Thanks. Yes I am going to keep competing in strongman but I am just focusing on getting overall stronger right now, so I can be a force to be reckoned with for the spring competitions. There is one competition, Paxton 5,at the end of my 1st training cycle somewhere in December that I may do, but I have to see how I feel a month from now. I am going to re-start my event trainings on saturdays, so by sunday I should have a nice video of the highlights of the week.

Thanks. I do 3-4 days a week training. Right now it looks something like :

Tuesdays- Bench press, Press assistance work, stability work

Thursdays-Squats, Deadlifts, and some compound assistance work such as front squats, or good mornings, then some power cardio

Saturday Events typically some form of Clean and Press, followed by event variations

Rest or stretch the others days, may do light cardio when I please.

I do it this was so I can rest pretty well and not kill my body so much.

I am doing Wendlers 5/3/1 on my bench, squat and deadlift and on my deload week for that I will do heavy events training. Right now events will be more for cardio and technique.

I like to focus my strength training on compound movements and use assistance work to just assist so I plan on alternating it a lot.
