DAY 9, 8-27-12
Squat.....189 x3x3x3x3x2x2 Bench.....178 x2x2x2x2x2x2...new PR 5 min break Squat (80%) 150.5 x8x7x7 Bench (80%) 143 x6x6x6 Rating 11/10....A+++++ wow, finally had the killer workout...everything felt so light. When I first started this progression on the squats, it felt so heavy I thought i would never move up in 7 workouts...today it was so light I checked to see if I had the right number of plates on the bar. the bench, first day at a higher weight, again, felt so light I loaded MORE and still hit the reps !!! Hope tomorrow is even better!!! |

I am so glad you were able to get me to think constant progression, I am starting to gain confidence that I will actually progress, AND starting to expect it. Before your help, I did not know the importance of progression and did not train for it, expect it, and, no surprise, experience it. I am making so much more progress in a shorter time than my first 5 months of ignorant training. On one hand I am pissed I wasted 5 months not knowing what I was doing, on the other hand, 5 months wasted is better than 12 months wasted. Just glad I'm heading in the right direction now !! |

Day 10, 8-29-12
Deads.......211 x3x3x3x3x3x2 Mil Press.....99 x3x3x3x2x2x2 5 min break BB Rows..............110 x7x6x6 Mil Press (80%).....82.5 x7x7x7 Rating 8/10 Missed yesterday due to wifey going into the hospital, so had to make it up today. As good a workout as could be expected with the wife on my mind. With that being said, nothing negative to say, just a little pre-occupied. Hit all the reps, and ready for the next one.... |
