Thanks Steve! I was very happy with my form on the squat, it kind of surprised me I was able to push through, it felt like I was stuck in one spot forever.

Thanks Mike! I want to come down at the latest in March to lift with you on a Saturday. Once I get my schedule figured out I'll send you a PM. I definitely see what you're saying though with the jerk. I will work on some lighter reps and focus on getting low to get that muscle memory built in.

I am now 20 lbs away from my previous deadlift max, while being 10 lbs lighter than when I hit it. I want 600 this year.

Thanks Steve! It was heavy, but I am glad I was able to hold true to my form. Especially at 7 in the morning haha.

Taking it a little easy this week, just need to reset and get ready for the next cycle, plus I am traveling so it works out perfectly for a mini deload.

Haha don't be too envious! There was a guy at least twice my age that did this in just about the same time I did. I envy him for being able to do it.

My endurance is slowly coming up, my strength is maintaining which is exactly how I want this to happen. I would rather take my time getting the endurance back while maintaining/improving strength rahter than try to make it all happen at once.

I told my wife that our 50s are going to be our best years yet. I need to start improving my conditioning and live up to that. Guys like him inspire me.

I have no doubt you can do it! With the determination to obtain the weights you have achieved you'll be able to get to whatever you point you want to make your 50's the best yet.

Oh, I found a cool little post today about weightlifting and how taxing it really is on the body of these guys. One of the athletes of Muscle Drive USA teaches our Olympic Lifting classes at my CrossFit gym, so this is a really cool article ...
