Thanks, I'm hoping that it was just my loose shorts that caused me to lose my grip. I'll be more intentional about my grip on Monday when I go for 660 straight weight.

Awesome squat work today. Kept the volume low, but put some good weight on the bar.

Here's my plans for the last few weeks leading up to my meet:

TRAINING
SQUAT: I'm probably just gonna hit my opener next week and then maybe a few sets coming down after that. Nothing heavy. Very easy.

BENCH: I might hit my opener. I might not though. I think taking it easy would probably be the best way to go as my last bench day will be exactly 7 days before my meet.

DEADLIFT: This coming Monday will be my last pull. I'll pull around 545 from the floor against bands with a maximum weight at the top of around 660-670. I don't want to go too heavy, but I wanna feel some weight in my hands.

MEET ATTEMPTS
SQUAT: 530/600/?
BENCH: 402/440/?
DEADLIFT: 600/660/?

I want my openers to be cake walks to leave plenty in the tank for 3rd attempts. This will also allow me to go lighter in the warmup room saving even more for the platform. Also, if my 2nd attempts are grinders, I'll pass on 3rds. Right now I'm 99% sure of my 2nd attempts. I've hit them all in the gym with relative ease with the exception of my squat. I hit 590 this past Thursday with smoothness. Also, the squat will be the 1st lift so I don't have to worry about any fatigue from the other lifts so 600 should be no problem. If I squat 600 smoothly with some left in the tank I'll probably go 611 for a 3rd. If I deadlift 660 with some left in the tank I'll probably go 672 for a 3rd.

that's great ... Right now your 2nd attempt is totaling to 1700. This is insane volume in itself. I'm sure that you will get 1750+. Best of luck for the meet ZZMan ...

Good plan. I'm slowly moving that way myself on openers.

Good luck and smash PRs.
