Thank you man. Other stuff was good, but the bench itself didn't feel very comfortable.

Thank you buddy, as I mentioned above though, it didn't feel particularly great. It's nice to know I can do pretty much everything apart from press though!

12/07/12

Sumo Deadlift
60x5x4 sets
100x5
140x1x2 sets
180x1
220x1
240x1
252.5x1
262.5x0x2 "sets"

Not really that upset I failed the PB attempt as I haven't really pulled sumo heavy in a good few months now and my form was all over the place. Couldn't really keep my balance and I kept tilting forwards and putting all the weight on my back. Still pretty happy with the solid quarter tonne pull the day after those heavy mofo lock-outs and a week after my 600 pull. Going to do sumo again next week, but keep the weight a little lighter and hit some nice singles, work on my hip strength at the top.

18" Deadlift/Rack Pull
100x5
140x3
180x3
220x3
250x3

Despite these supposedly being the same height as the last few weeks they really felt a lot lower...

Above-Knee Rack Pull
100x5
140x3
180x3
220x3
260x3
300x3
330x1
352.5x1

Tiny little PB there. Not sure if these were a pin hole higher than when I pulled 350 before, but who cares, it's the most weight I've ever held in my hands, so pleased with that.

13/07/12

Barbell Row
60x15
100x10
100x8
100x8

Strict Shrug
100x15
140x15
180x15
220x15
240x15

Traps were beasting today, even after doing rack pulls yesterday! No idea how I managed to pull 240 strict! Who needs abs when you can build dat yoke?!

V-Bar Pull-Down
25x15
40x14
40x10
40x10

Rope Pull-Down
20x12
20x10
20x10

Tricep burnage.

Song of the session:

Thank you all three of you guys, my biggest/only () fans.

16/07/12

Good session today.

Squat
Warm-Up
210x1
227.5x1
240x1

Felt good and solid nailing the 240. Could definitely do more as this was nowhere near as hard as the 250 from a couple of months ago, but I'm still going to use it as my 1RM for starting Smolov next week. Next target: 260.

Al-Parallel Box Squat
140x3
190x3
220x3
240x3
255x2

Just some fannying around really.

RDL
60x5
100x3
140x3
180x1
220x1
250x1
270x1

Not sure about the form on the 270, I thought it was a little janky, but after watching the video Al said it was okay, so pretty happy to hit that much weight for an RDL - the bar definitely went below my knee at least and it was TOUGH. Felt good, but I think I'm going to call it there with these ridiculous RDL singles for a few weeks!

Good call. Run too frequently they beat the crap out of me.
