BTW- wouldn't a 5 x 5 program be good for someone trying to put on muscle? That's a lot of time under tension

Only had around a 45 min. window to train today and wasnt sure if I would even have time to go to the gym before work. Figured I'd go a little lighter today since I didnt really have much time to get focused, but even going a little lighter felt heavy! Not sure if it was mental or what...
Tuesday, October 30th. 2012 Workout B Squat 1x5x45 (Warm-Up) 1x5x95 (Warm-Up) 1x5x140 1x5x170 1x5x190 1x4x190 1x5x190 Pull-Ups 5 4 Bench 1x10x45 (Warm-Up) 1x5x80 1x5x95 1x5x115 1x3x115 1x3x115 *Probably could of made all 5 reps but left some gas in the tank. Not really a great workout, but wanted to get in and atleast do something. I think my body is almost ready for a 1 week lay off..

Strapped for time today, skipped Rows and cut down rest periods.
Thursday, Novemember 1st. 2012 Workout B Front Squat 1x10x45 135x5 155x5 175x5 175x3 175x4 Press: 40x5 60x5 80x4 80x4 80x4 Deadlift 180x5 210x5 240x3 *Worked on form, things felt okay, made a couple of adjusments/corrections. I have a better feel for what I need to do.

Had a pretty good workout today, tried a second attempt for a PR Deadlift but failed. Though I did get the bar a little farther off the ground the last time I tried. (About a month ago)

Now to get ready for work.
