On a side note, I was wondering about setting up waves for the 20 reppers kind of like 5/3/1 uses. Take 3 weeks and hit a new max, then three more weeks to hit another new max. Might be something to consider as things get really intense? |

I've been running it over in my mind trying to come up with a good plan. Probably impliment something around 250-280 lbs. I'm thinking...
Week1: 65% x 5 75% x 5 85% x 5 65% x 20 Week 2: 70% x 3 80% x 3 90% x 3 70% x 20 Week 3: 75% x 5 85% x 3 95% x 1, 1, 1 75% x 20 |

Really like that idea OR, in the long run you will be able to keep the program going for longer this way

120 lbs x 5 150 lbs x 5 180 lbs x 5 225 lbs x 5 255 lbs x 3 285 lbs x 5 then 225 lbs x 20 reps Military Press 70 lbs x 5 90 lbs x 5 105 lbs x 5 130 lbs x 5 150 lbs x 3 165 lbs x 5 reps Chin-ups BW x 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 reps Notes: Trying out the new programming today. I think I'm going to like it, it should make for a nice long progression. Next week is a deload and I'll also be on a family trip for the last part of the week. I'll get some rest, some food, and be ready to get after it!!! |
