After driving all day, we unloaded the car and then I headed straight to bed. Woke up this morning ready to go. Pullup Variations - Rather than doing assisted wide grips, I thought I would do as many actual pullups and chins as I could using the different variations. While it is only 3 supersets, 25 total reps (actual pulls, not assisted) is one of my best ever. Chest Supported Rows - Was going to bump up to 45# but am glad I didn't I barely got 10 reps on any of the last three sets. I was dripping by the time I was done. The chest support takes everything out of play but the back muscles. Very Humbling. Rack Pulls - Extra tricep work or hit the back some more? That was the question racing through my mind. I decided to finish off the back. Glad I did. Not a PR, but I feel good not having done these much of late. LS Pushdowns - All I can say is that my triceps were on fire when I finished these. I couldn't get the last two in any of the final three sets. Hanging Knees - Need to start working toward straight leg raises. Between the three servings, I took a total of 100 g of Karbolyn. Again, no bloats, no farts, not strange after tastes. Just lasting energy and great taste. Discovered that Strawberry Karbolyn and Chocolate Cookie Crunch Whey gives you a very good choco/straw thing going on. Loved it!

With testing at the schools and work obligations, my schedule is all messed up. I finally got into the gym about 8:15PM last night. Very late for me. Supps I did not take Beta-Cret, as I have enough problems sleeping, I didn't want stimulant induced issues too. pre and Intra - 25 g Karbolyn + Gluta-tren Post - Whey, Casein, Karbolyn, Con-cret Warmups Shoulder Plate rotations Tube shoulder work Dislocates Bar only warmup lift Working Sets Flat Bench 4 x 10 x 115 8 x 115 Pec Deck 5 x 10 x 65 Incline DB Press 3 x 8 x 40 Tricep Bar Spider Curls 3 x 10 x 50 NOTES Nothing spectacular last night. Just got in and got it done. Worked up a good sweat. It felt great. Tomorrow is legs and shoulders. I am looking forward to it! Karbolyn Update I am loving this stuff. Taste is great, mixes well and provides the energy needed to keep on moving. This will be added to my supplement stock.

This was not fun at all, it was work. Don't get me wrong, I was glad and excited to be out in the Dog House, but this was not a typical get in get it done be gone session. There were a few changes in exercises and the fact that I have not hit the shoulders and legs in about two weeks both probably contributed to the tough feeling. BHNP - This is my favorite Shoulder movement, call me wierd, I just like it. Since I have not done it in quite some time I started a bit light. Slight pain in my left arm, but not the shoulder. I need to work on stretching and preparing for the shoulder work a little more, stop rushing the warm up. Squats - I intended to do Back squats today but my back had different ideas. I have too much going on in the next 4 weeks to be having to deal with back issues, so I switched to Fronts. Not having done any leg work in 2 weeks hurt me. I had my cross trainers on, forgot to change to my all stars, this slight elevation of the heals did cause the squats to feel different. This weight should have been an easy 4 x 10, but not today. The puke feeling was building. DB OHP - Nothing really to note here Jeffersons - Need to work on my set up. Also want to check to make sure form is tight. I love these and will work on 5 x 10 next time. Upright Rows - Another new lift, trying something different for the traps. Started light as a result. Not sure how I feel about these. Leg Extensions - I held these at least 1 full second at the top. My legs were on fire the last couple reps of the last 3 sets. When done, I felt like rubber Shrugs - Started from a rack pull position, as opposed to a higher position. Not smart on my part. I was tired by this point. Once in position, the shrugs were easy. More weight next week. Over all a good session. I was drenched when finished. Had to walk over and get the church's mower, as mine needs repairs, and walked like an old man. Guess I did more than I thought. Karbolyn Experiences I am so looking forward to buying this stuff. The Strawberry flavored tastes good and the ease of use is amazing. I love the sustained energy I receive from the carbs. I don't go into the gym feeling like if I work too hard I am going to bring my breakfast or pre-meal back up. That is a win in itself.

Intra - Glutatren Post - 50 g Karbolyn, 1 scoop each of casein and iso Warmups Plate shoulder rotations Tube warmups Side laterals Front Raises Working Sets Wide Grip Inverted Rows 5 x 10 x BW WG Lat Pulldowns 10 x 75 4 x 8 x 75 Rack Deads 3 x 10 x 185 Bench Dips 5 x 10 x BW+45 DB French Press 5 x 10 x 40 NOTES Late training again. Not my favorite, but I made it work. Judging from the feel of my back, I succeeded in working it! Inverse Rows - focused on squeezing and pulling from the lats and not the arms. My lats were burning after each set lat Pulldowns - continued what I started with the IR's, worked the lats good. Rack Pulls - I wanted to hit the lower back also. This worked. I did these touch and go style and focused on keeping the form as tight as possible. Bench Dips - it is amazing what a change in the plate position can make. I started with the plate laying in my lap. Extra weight but manageable. The last two sets, I set it up leaning against my chest. The change in position was perfect, my triceps were on fire when I finished. French Press - added reps to each set. Will add weight next week. Until I can afford a second vehicle, my schedule will be messed up. I will get a session in as planned, when is the big question. It looks like I will be doing more evening training in the near future. Still, I am happy with this session. Karbolyn UpdateI was already near my total cals and macros for the day so I left out the karbolyn of my intra drink. Still, I had good energy. I really like this stuff.

I was able to get into the Dog House about 8:30 PM already tired from the day. To be honest, I was not expecting much at all, just wanted to fulfill the iron obligation. I am not overly unhappy or happy with this session. I guess I am satisfied with it. Inclines - proved tougher than they should have been. Not sure why Declines - used the bench with the leg pads, this helped keep me from sliding Flyes - Not much to say Curls - Played with grip on these. first two sets were with the picky high rest were with the pinky low. Minor differences in how they felt. The pinky low position was nicer to my wrists I am sure diet is affecting me in the gym and life. Been a bit more surly and tired and, as you can see above, numbers that should be easy haven't been. I am currently sitting at my lightest in years. I avoided scales for so long, I can't remember ever being 185 outside of the brief time in 2008 ( my weight at my followup visit for cholesterol, the motivation for starting this journey). I have, however, seemed to have stalled. Looking back over the past 8-10 weeks, I have averaged 2000 calories or less every week but one, and that week was only slightly over the 2000. With my estimated maintenance at about 2750 and my actual closer to 2450, I should be seeing some progress. A couple factors seem to be affecting things in my opinion. Stress and Carbs. I live in a world of constant stress, it comes with the calling. I also live in a world surrounded by carbs. All this to say I will be re-thinking things for the future. I am going to continue to eat at deficit for two weeks and then will move to mantenance for a while. Will take measurements tomorrow. My prayer is that while weight has stalled, BF is down. We shall see.

Shoulders and Legs

Warmups 5 minutes bike 5 x 10 DB Press 5 x 10 Side Laterals 5 x 10 DB Front Raise Tube shoulder work Working Sets BHNP 2 x 115 - Oops. 4 x 10 x 80 21 minute presbytery phone call. I had been waiting all week for the call to be returned so I had to take it. Of course, workout lost focus. Front Squats 3 x 8 x 115 Arnold Presses 3 x 6 x 35 Good Mornings 3 x 10 x 115 NOTES Today has just not been the best of days, too much on my mind, having a hard time focusing on much of anything. This is the end of 12 weeks of Boscience. I have enjoyed the cycle but feel I really need to be focusing on strength right now. My body is telling me it needs a change too. I have a hunch I have put my metabolism to sleep, and I need to step back and ask myself some serious questions. Since my son is home for the summer and has asked me to work with him, I am going to return to the MWF fullbody training for strength. I have narrowed things down to Wendler's 5/3/1 fullbody routine or the good ole Starr 5 x 5. Over the weekend I hope to decide. BHNP - Wasn't thinking when I set up. Last week I did 70 lbs, so I through two 35's on there (70 lbs), forgetting about the 45 lb bar. Was flabbergasted when I could barely unrack the bar. About halfway through the second rep the light went on. Racked and reset the weights. Good thing? 80 felt light after that. Front Squats - After the phone call, today's session became, i dunno, bleh. All sets of squats were HtoC (Hams to Calves). I didn't go up until I felt them touch. Arnold Presses - Nothing to report Good Mornings - of everything I did today, these felt best. I took some measurements this morning. I can confirm that weight has stalled. Holding at 185. I will post measurement comparison once I sit down and plug everything in. Pinches were all over the place, so I am not sure I am going to plot them. Well, time for a shower and then I am going to scrape up some money for a carb overload, ie Chinese Buffet.
