With torn bicep tendons its important to get surgery asap, maximum 2-3 weeks from the rupture. Otherwise the muscle shortens and it's a much less successfull procedure with longer rehabilitation. Thats why I got an appointment that fast.

Swede -

Sucks no doubt. But very recoverable. I had my surgery on a distal bicep tendon full rupture on 11/26/2013. That's why I started a log. I went through limited rehab and then started lifting after 8 weeks post op (detailed on my log):

Also, there is an active board around this injury. One bodybuilder created an interesting recovery protocol for the 'bad' arm:

My immediate recommendation is plan on not doing anything for 6 weeks. Follow rehab for another 6 weeks after that (rehab will focus primarily on effective propination / supination). Then, develop a plan to gradually 'get' back. You absolutely can be at full strength in 6-8 months. I'm about 75% at four months. Long term advice: hook grip deads and try not to supinate the arm under load...ever.

Listen, when you are ready to get on the recovery trail I'm up to Skype and discuss rehab and what not. Let me know.

Thanks alot man!! This means alot to me, Ive been checking the curling protocol and it makes sense. Looking forward to get to rehab work in a couple of months! We keep in touch.

Oh yes! Ive allready put together a small training routine that I will start as soon as I had surgery and the damn leg (witch I dropped the tire on) is better.

I will be doing one arm deads, legpress/legcurls and extensions together with calves and abs, backraises and One arm db presses 3x a week to start with.

Goal is to pull of a 200kg one arm deadlift using a hook grip in a couple of months. Good stuff to come =)
