Nice, yeah that's pretty much what I do as well.

I was reading a little about this and watching Pendlay's video explaining the row:

He doesn't seem to use the legs as much as the guy in the vid you linked. As in, there is no chest drop to meet the bar. Now my first thought it, a little body english is just fine but I'm open to ideas.

Thoughts?

For me it's hard not to drop the chest during the last 4 inches of the row. Bar speed is slowing but you're still pulling hard, so I think there is some physics in play here that almost forces you to pull towards the bar as the speed slows. Make sense?

Legs or not, I think both variations are sound. I find that a little more explosive of a pull (moving the torso up slightly as I pull, certainly no where near the level of bro rows), and a little more leg usage, takes some pressure off my lower back.

In that case according to Selkainho rack pulls from different heights is way to go to improve your pull. Using almost straight legs and concentrating on butt and hip-movement from the start. Trainee who pulls 250kg should get 270kg 10cm below kneecap and 290kg 5cm below kneecap.

Yeah, I'm actually the same way. I was just considering what may or may not be more effective.

Im late to the discussion but might I suggest Stiff-legged Power Cleans? Great for building up the posterior chain. No rehbend in the legs just brute force (been listening to Louie alot here lately)

I say go for the run, I have always thought the Deadlift was just more impressive of a lift than anything else. Take a true strength enthusiast to appreciate what the Deadlift brings to the table

I just ripped an easy 650, and crushed a 675. That's a plus 53 pound PR in 3 months, and a 110 pound over the course of the last year.

I am jacked right now. 700 will fall at the meet.

Thanks.

I have no idea how any of this is happening but it's really fun lifting right now.
