I was fluffing around on EFTS when I came across this. This would be the first I've heard of it, so I really can't provide any opinions or further information. Just thought it was an interesting find.

I saw it on Elite as well.

Not a comment on this specific article, but in general T-Nation and Elite are starting to post a lot of articles by everyone and anyone. I have started to screen a lot of what I read on those sites.

They still have a ton of good info, but I prefer to stick to Rippetoe, Tate, Wendler, Starnes and the like.

I've read quite a few articles on the EFTS website in the past, and I've found myself in disagreement with quite a few of their articles. More specifically the nutrition related. Not all of them, but quite a few.

There was an experiment done with blueberries (I think; it was one of the darker, bluer berries) in which a woman drank a good dose of the stuff, tall glass, so that they could measure the oxygen uptake, or some such thing, and what sort of interaction was occurring in the bloodstream to do with the arteries, I believe...it was some time ago, so memory is a bit hazy on it...but, anyway, it did show instant effects a minute or so later when the blood was checked.

But, as was highlighted by the doctor doing the experiment/test, people are informed that a food is a superfood and then they eat that to the exclusion of all other foods which is then detrimental; basically, as lomg as we get a range of foods they all benefit us.

Cherries are also good anti-inflammatories as well, for those that didn't know; and better on your stomach than aspirin etc.
