Default Post workout carbs

After my workout should I consume simple carbs or not? I hear it is good for my anabolic insulin response.

I don't ever advocate consuming pure sugar. Depending on the type of carb source, it can be helpful if you are having trouble putting on weight and/or recovering from your workouts. My gut reaction however is that you're overthinking things. Do hard work, eat big and the rest will take care of itself. Once you are to the point where the small things will make a bigger difference, you will have the experience and knowledge to make them useful.
