Default Arm work please

I have been lifting for only a short time but am getting no arm mass. What am I doing wrong? Seems like all my work is going to my chest. I do lots of bicep work, with free weights, and do tricep dips, and also do bar exercises for my arms. What do you recommend.

Get stronger in the main compound lifts (dips are one of the best) for now. If you get stronger then you're arms will definitely grow, and once you've got some solid strength you can start to bring back in direct arm work.

Lay out your routine and we can help you a little better. If your doing "LOTS" of arm work, you could be over training.

I had the same problem when I first started , then I took the advice given to me on this forum and worked hard at progressing on compound lifts .

For big arms use compunds such as the bench press,dips,close grip bench and the over head press for the triceps and for the biceps chin ups are king (rows are good too).

keep in mind the triceps are the key to big arms as they are twice as big as the biceps

hi mate ,

without seeing what your current program is i have highlighted for me what is the main issue....

lifting weights and developing your body isnt an overnight or short term thing...its a way of life and to do it properly you need persistance and a huge commitment.

this site is full of great information and very very knowledgeable posters , listen to their advice and pick a program from here and stick with it for some time and you will see progress.
