Our squat stances are clones. And we both lift with glasses.

Thank you mate - wonder if it's still as good now! Also note the lack of belt.

Yesterday's training session:

24/11/11

Bench Press
Warm-Up
120x5
120x5
120x5
120x5
120x5
120x5
120x5

Seven sets was a lot. But with the relatively light weight it didn't feel too bad. Still kinda felt heavy, rather than difficult.

Seated Overhead Press Machine
40x10
40x10
40x10

Stupid machine, but at least it was plate loaded. Can definitely do more than 40kg standing overhead so I reckon the arms must weigh something.

V-Bar Pull-Down
40x10
50x5
50x5>30x10>20x9

Heaviest I've done on the pull-downs so pretty pleased with that. Finished with a nice double drop set and my triceps are definitely feeling sore today!

Out of interest, I've never intentionally managed to get that position I do inevitably end up squatting more on-top of the thighs than in between. Is it really just a matter of form and working on hip flexibility?

I'm very inflexible across the hamstring/hip area but I'm working on it.

It's more of an urgent concern now as lifting equipped sort of necessitates good form, other wise the weight is far too heavy to good morning up.

Strong benching big man.

WRT the Fazc question. The way I understand it is it's two things:

1. Flexibility/form
2. Posterior chain strength.

Dave Tate talks about going to Westside with a 700lbs squat and not being able to squat 135lbs with the Westside form due to weak glutes, hams and hips. Different for single ply I know but to a certain degree it's true.

He may well be onto something with that for my case, I think hamstring/hip flexibility and strength is linked.

I'm able to squat wider now which is eliminating much of the problem, and I've also moved the squat bar slightly higher which again helps as I previously would have the bar set very very low. With a combination of a short and very strong back it made squatting quite efficient. However that same form has limited use in a suit, so I'm forced to adapt.

As it is, I've seen some improvements in the past couple months but whenever I see an example of some beautiful squatting I have to ask!
