Thanks guys. I'm impatiently waiting to squat tomorrow. Lol, I'm ready to use the shoes.
I'm actually thinking about not doing gvt for leg day, just do 5x5 or stay the course on 6 x 2-3 with a 20 rep set to follow.

So today I decided to do the same squat rep scheme I have been working with. Had to get a apples to apples comparison of the squat shoes.
Warmed up 5 minutes on elliptical with Olympic shoes on. Man this pumped my quads up for some reason.

Bar x 10
135 x 5
205 x 5
255 x 3 add belt
290 +5 lbs x 2 x 4
290 x 4 pr
290x4 squat: http://youtu.be/2LsxBVZL0sA

Dropped to 205 for an attempt at 20 reps but I took the belt off for core work. By 12 reps I had a serious lower back pump.
205 x 12 squat.

Romanian dead lift
205 x 10
285 x 8 x 2

Machine sissy squat
30 x 20
80 x 20 x 2

ball crunch for the abzers
25/20 done
57 minutes total

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Great leg day and squat PR Chad. Which shoes did you get exactly?

Sorry bdub. I bought the Adidas power lifter 2.
From rouge fitness for $89.00.

Rich it was cold when I got in my house. Wife never put the heater on so I needed to warm up bro. The hood had be on or it bunched up under the bar like a squat pad. That's what traps are for

Week 1 day 3 gvt
(Note only upper body gvt)

Leverage machine shoulder press

130 x 10x10 picked a good weight as any more would have been very tough to finish. Will increase 2.5 lbs next week. Going slow with progression here.
Face pulls
70 x 10 x 3 sets

Leverage machine shoulder shrug
130 x 20
200 x 20
200 + 100 in dumbbells x 20 x 2
200 x12 slow negatives and pause at top

Decline bemch ez bar skull crusher
90 x 10 x 5. All super set with
Ez bar close grip bench
90 x 10 x 5.
90 seconds rest after super set

Incline bench dumbbell curl
35 x 10 x 3.
Super set with standing ez bar curl
90 x 10 /10/8
90 Second rest after Super set.

Went to heavy on ez bar after Incline db curl. Failed at 8 reps, will drop back to 80 on ez bar and go for 10 x 5 sets.

This was one of the toughest sessions I've ever had since lifting. The weight really builds up and kicks in around set 7 making me have to really really dig deep to get all reps on last few sets.
Planet fitness would kick me out for grunting and I did not mean to grunt.

Best part Is my shoulder is doing well with the changes.
Chose to do leverage machine to make sure form stayed perfect and take a break from Bhtnp. I've Done Bhtnp for 4 years now. Since I am doing face pulls I'm working the rear delt plenty.

Total time 61 minutes
