Nice videos al. Thanks.

Does anyone have any tips on how to keep separation between head and shoulders and or how to keep shoulders down?

What do you mean separation ILL?

Keeping your shoulders and upper back tight can be achieved by gripping the bar tight and trying to bend it. That will activate your lat's and keep you tight.

Hey al, What I mean by separation is keeping space/distance between your chin/head and your shoulders/traps while benching. I'm having to literally stretch my neck out like a turtle to create space, it feels awkward and uncomfortable.

Sounds like you need to relax your neck muscles but I'd need to see a video really to understand what you mean.

Relaxing the muscles sounds like it may help. Thank you.
I've been told elite lifters keep an incredible amount of 'separation' during the whole lift. I guess that's why some big benchers lift their head off of the bench in mid set. You may have noticed steve doing that in his db benching video.

Thanks for the vid, Al. I do think I'm going to have to invoke my own Yorkshire translator though...
