Sensodyne is recalling Batch/Lot 031G of its Sensodyne Repair and Protect toothpaste.
Apparently, the batch has been found to contain some larger particles of one of the ingredients used in the toothpaste, which may scratch the gums and cause bleeding. A few cases have already been reported.
Just goes to show, if you find a "supposed" problem with a product it could well be a real problem. We were amazed when we got the letter today, guess loyalty cards have that benefit at least; they know you purchased the product so the store sends out letters to those individuals that have definitely brought the product.

On a somewhat related note, if you read the warning on the back of all toothpaste containers, you'll see that it instructs you to go to the hospital if you swallow more than the size of a pea. The reason is that sodium fluoride is toxic.
