Default SB Alvin meet write up

Basically just copied this from my log...

Going into the meet I was feeling very confident that I was very prepared, I thank my team and coach for making sure that i remained healthy. Asking with making sure that everyone else was ready. Friday morning weighed 270...not exactly my plan, but I did get a little out of bound with some salty food the night before...lol Spent the morning with my lady, ate breakfast and walked around the mall. Met up with the rest of the team about 4:30 to make the trip to Alvin. We arrived about 6:30, weigh in was at 7pm.

My weight 263.4
Big bro 267
Coach 268
Tuna 231

Boom, we made and now time to eat! Got our grub on some MSG filled Chinese food...lol went back to the hotel and passed out. Woke up at 6 Saturday and crashed the continental breakfast...lol

Arrived at the meet at 9, lifting started at 1030...running a tad bit late oh well...I texted Jen that I haven't started yet. Then they called for the squats...Tuna and I go warm up.

First attempt 440..easy
Second...475...easy
Third...507...easy

This was a confidence builder and an energy saver because we planned to go all out on bench and deadlift (my stronger lifts) Because this was a large meet, things got really drawn out...lol three flights of bench and guess who is in the last flight! The entire team!!! LOL

We wait thru the first flight and go warm up on the second flight

Opener 407...butter
Second 430...miss...ummm what happened here?!...the rack scared the crap out of me when out rocked back, so I broke setup. Couldn't lock out due to loss of tightness.
Third...430 (nailed it!!!) Screw it, wanted 450+, whatever...lol let's move forward to deads!

Warmed up to 500...planned to nail 650+, but felt like crap in warm ups...let coach call my lifts after opener.

Opened at 601...smoke show, sent a STATEMENT!!
Second 628...smoke show again!
Third attempt 645...miss at lock out...smh...oh well next time!

Took home first in my division, as well as the team!

Other points that i realized I had:
Heaviest Raw bench
Highest Raw total
Highest push pull total (too bad i didn't enter this division...lol)

1565@263, didn't get my 1600+ but I'm extremely proud of my team especially Tuna, because he beat out the high schoolers in his division! My big bro, had the heaviest raw bench in the masters division. And coach nailed his target deadlift! I thank everyone that had something positive, critical to my training! Many thanks to my sponsors, and the entire MAB community. I have videos up on my YouTube page, will post them up soon!
