Different height pulls will be better or worse depending on your build, style of lift, etc. Just stay focused on progression and you'll get there.

Best Gym Lifts...Dosen't matter....they don't count!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Good to know Big Al. Lower back didn't really like that starting position, so it must be a build issue. Hoping JB doesn't program 6 inch ones anymore haha.

THE BYRDAWG SESSIONS WEEK 12 DAY 3 OF 4 BENCH PRESS

Was totally exhausted after today's session - I couldn't even undo the velcro from my wrist wraps lol, and my tremors were crazy. I have never had to work so hard for anything in my life.

If the Crew sees the issue on a miss as a technique one, they will usually have me try it again, after coaching me on the mistake. If they see it as a strength issue, they usually will not. Tightness was good as was bar path. They thought if I could generate just a touch more speed, I would have it, seeing how both 300 attempts and the 1st 295 were literally an inch away from lockout.

Oh so fucking close!!

Powerlifting is a game of inches - being an inch or less away from lockout is like hitting the post in hockey. I didn't get frustrated tho. It just made me want it even more.

Got emotional in the car on the way home once again, as seems to be the norm after every session with the crew.

The 5X5 pausies were just brutal, but I still manages to do a good job with them.

Video guy screwed up vids on the 2 300 attempts and the 1st 295, so I decided to try it again, and it too went up with little issue.

Utterly amazing the difference 5 lbs makes.
