Side Note: After yesterday's squat workout I think I'll be switching to HB Squatting only. I just cant seem to keep my upper body tight on LB squats

THE BYRDDAWG SESSIONS WEEK 7 DAY 2 OF 3 BENCH PRESS

I had an OK session today, but I seemed to have weakened really fast and I have no idea why. I felt great going in but I missed the 2nd rep on both full ROM and 2 board. However, my spotter said he just had to spot a smidgeon and that I was oh so close to locking it out. So, I'll take it. If somebody would have told me a few months ago I'd be repping 275 for a double I would have had a good laugh. This is far from the first time I have been so close on a lift and came back to nail it a few weeks later tho - so I know I'll have it very soon.

After the session I felt very weak and worn out. Hope I shake the weaksauce before Sunday's Sacred Squats as I have a double @445 scheduled.

You'll rebound for that squat... You are squatter after all. That bench is pretty awesome, we all want a bit more from ourselves.

Thanks Chris. Confidence is there, as if I can triple 430 I should be able to handle 445 for a double. The 465 I did last month almost felt like I could have doubled it at the time.
