Thanks Tom!! It's actually amazing to hear how bench is a struggle it seems for many. Perhaps its also frustrating because it is also the most "popular" lift it seems.

Good looking presses jim.

I know it will work. If I may suggest, you could add in some sets of 10 on the strict military as a finisher. I got the idea from wendler with a 5x10 press 2-3 times a week, increasing weight with 5-10lbs once you get all reps. Worked wonders for my overhead lift and bench in a very short time.

Just a though, good luck buddy and keep up the good work!

DEADLIFT DAY

Original plan was to rep 500. Would have had it too if my left grip hadn't failed near lockout, even with Versagripps on. Not sure why really, except maybe that I just didn't grip it properly. Oh well, shit happens. Whenever i have a misfire or what have you on my money set, whether it is reps or a single, I have to go to plan B because my body will never be able to execute the money set on a 2nd try. So, I thought I would try 500 single again, and it worked, except with a quick lockout as my left grip was again slipping. Managed a 3rd single with the VG's on, but tremors started to happen. Really happy tho I was still able to lock it out. Never give up!!

So, pretty darn excited that, for all intensive purposes, I was able to pull 3 singles at 500 and pretty much it is my Bitch now.

Backoff sets went really well, as I was able to still increase each set by 1 rep as I lowered the weight by 20 lbs. I end up lifting more total weight with each descending set, which is cool.

Pulled until I could pull no more.

Decided to squat triples until I could not remain as tight as I should. Form was spot on I thought and I was really happy with them, especially for not being fresh.

Shrugs went well. I am excited that my lower back can now handle heavy shrugs with no pain at all.
