Thanks Rando! The Vegas odds are set! I think it's a good idea for me though to make it a no brainer and even a possibility of repping it. I am quite confident that it will happen this fall, hopefully before Xmas.

Aria is quite the ultra modern place isn't it? MGM Grand Buffet gets a close 2nd place.

BENCH PRESS DAY

The goal today was too just loosen up with a 4X6 set of hopefully 225. Almost got it, except my hands starting sliding down the bar on the 5th rep and I somehow tweaked my right forearm a bit. I normally have a Python like grip on the bar while pressing, but I imagine my grip was in a weakened state from the pulls yesterday. Additionally, I never usually train the day after heavy pulls. I haven't benched in 12 days, so I thought a stay loose and get a groove session would be fine.

I think I will likely skip OHP this week and just do a light-ish squat session mid week. I don't think it's a good idea for me to both pull and squat heavy in the same week. Doing so might put my lower back in jeopardy and staying healthy is job#1.

Will be back in rotation with the Crew this coming labor Day weekend. Crazy summer has prevented me from training with them manyw eekends this summer. I hope they recognize me lol.

I'll get physio on the forearm if it doesn't heal up fast on its own. Still happy with today's session tho.

Bench Press

195 X3
210 X3
225 X5 This is the set where my hands slid down the bar and got tweak lol.
225 X5 Added liquid chalk. Forearm started to hurt on 5th rep only.
210 X6 Felt good!
210 X6 Good!
185 X12 Also felt good.
Quite the relief I could bench anything really.

Pull Ups

Felt weak on these, and forearm pain on 3rd reps

Dips

No pain at all on these.

Pendlay Rows
Pain on 8th rep, but they exploded up like dynamite!

Nice benching Jimbo. Pop some extra Ark 3 if that firearm still bothers you. Try 1 every 3-4 hours for a day.

Beautiful pull Jimbro!! Can't believe you didn't hold it for a little longer haha! That was smooth and looked really strong. 500 is right there!

Nice bench session as well. I think I may try the Romaleo's for my benching today. I've had hell recently keeping my feet planted, so I need to experiment a little!

Thanks Alan!! I would have had 480, but I am gonna do just small PR's. Getting greedy on pulls in the past has always left me disappointed.

I was so stoked to find the SuperJim chucks!. They were even on the clearance shelf for almost free haha.

Thanks OR!! I also tried a shrug and that was completely a no-go. Dips are also one of my faves. Hopefully this will heal up soon and I can get back to doing them weighted, even tho the BW ones did not hurt at all.

Thanks Rich!! Didn't hold it longer as grip was starting to slip slide away lol. I know 500 is only 25 lbs away, but that makes a huge difference and I'm not quite ready for it. Some more rep work is in order. Once I can rep 475 for a triple, I should have 500 in the bag. I even want to rep 500 for a double.

Indeed, I like the Romaleos better on bench. My feet stay planted firm with them. I hope you find them the same.
