Thanks Jay! Having the liftoff allows you to remain tight(er). I would not really expect to be able to lift more weight tho. I did at my first meet and it didn't happen. However, if you find after your opener it made it much easier, maybe you could adjust your numbers for the 2nd lift. Also, having spotterss may help the confidence.

Squat = 325
Bench = 210
Dead = 353
Total = 888

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

I didn't really mean that I'd be able to do more because of the lift off. More so that since I'm not used to it will it throw me off. I wouldn't think having spotters will have any effect on me. Since I bench in my rack I never worry about not pushing the weight. Thanks for your input

SQUATS/DEADLIFTS

Today I reached a big milestone with deads because 425 raw represents 2X my body weight. My current max is 470, but that was at 235 lbs, which was also 2X BW. However, I was able to rep the 425 for a double and could have likely had a triple. I didn't go for the triple because I currently have a policy of no misses.

I am now able to watch TV with no glasses and drive at night again. I am really just the happiest guy on earth right now. What a blessing to be able to lift and lift hard these days. No such thing as a bad day anymore. When something you love is almost taken away it changes everything, especially attitudes.
