I just found this:

140kg 1 finger deadlifting , then 160 kg and bad fail. on Vimeo

"The muscles and tendons were stronger then the bone, so i ripped clean out a part of bone on the tip of my finger. Thats kinda dum"



^^Sounds PAINFUL! And news to me, must be careful doing these sort of things.

For anyone considering this 2-handed barbell-style, the Eagle Loops seem to work:




The loops would probably also work with a single hand 1-finger lift as well, I have seen some vids where they use a carabiner and the Eagle Loop in conjunction, though they tend to be doing 2-finger lifts, for whatever reason.

Bumping for possible interest



Hoping the initial vid still works because there is very little available on youtube to show how this is done...although, it's really only a case of grabbing with one finger and DL-ing, so, pretty basic.

Yay!

My current avi shows me doing a little-finger DL with an 8kg/17.6 lbs KB...though, I did it off-centre to show the KB up and it was mostly just for the fun of it, not for any fantastic PB or anything.

I could only handle the small handle circumference of that KB, because of very small hands, and had no loops, so I may have to restest that one with the loops, to see if I can go heavier with the little finger at all...

Because the first vid is now set to private, this one uses 2 fingers, but just use this set-up and form and take one finger out of the equation, if you want to do the MFDL (middle finger deadlift):
