Hey abs anyway you can get some cinder blocks and planks and combine them to sit about at chest height?

Then again, I can see one side tipping, smashing you in the ribs and leaving you in a worse position.

Maybe if you wrapped them in something and duct taped the crud out of them...

Anywho...the fact that you nail a ton of PRs and give the workout a grade B is an indicator of future success. Nothing short of utter destruction is acceptable in your cranium, and that is the right attitude.

Thanks Steve. I appreciate the sentiment.

I look at it this way:
I know I am capable of moving a shit tonne of weight. I also know I'm at least a couple of years away from reaching my potential.
So if I don't move more each and every time I train, it feels like I'm just treading water.

There's lots of things I have no control over; I might not ever have a 6 pack again, or win any competitions. But I can move that fkn weight. I know that much.

...and what I need right now is some goddamn disposable income, and to source some attachable spot bars, like the ones you've mentioned.

Good luck with that.

I'm always one candy bar above the poverty line myself.

...'candy bar'? What's that? I haven't so much as smelled a snickers bar in like 5 years.
Though I did get a Toblerone for xmas. So I guess that counts.

Thanks for the info brother. Haven't heard from you in a while - how you been?
I'm really truly not a fan of suicide grip, especially when raising 60+ kgs above my head, but I am going to pay close attention to my form next time. Spart and others have linked me some vids with good pointers.
Ah yes, I start university next tuesday. Orientation is this coming sunday, but that's just an excuse for people to drink at the tavern.

Damn dude, that's nearly a month now! Still... you are on a cut lol. Must help...

Cheers Rich!

Woke this morning around 8am, still feeling seedy and low on energy, so went back to bed. I'm better now, and will be better still I reckon, after my brekky shake.

I GOTTA bench today.

What up buddy?! Yeah, im not a fan of suicide grip either. would never ever consider use while benching, thats for sure. Was very very hesitant at the thought of even ohpressing with it, but on the advice of wendler i went with it. The end result for me was well worth the risk. Ohp was something i had always struggled with. in hind sight, the only reason i struggled was from the lack of ability to push the bar straight when it was passing my face, especially my nose. Now im happy to say i love ohpressing and the false grip was the solution; it allows me to comfortably press 'straight' upward without interference from my schnoz

Again, im very glad to see you going back to school. Thats were you belong. Youre a learning machine!

For myself, im doing great. Wherever the universe takes me ill put forth my best effort and bring the best of it. Thanks for asking, my brotha!

Nah, it's ok. I don't have much of a sweet tooth anymore. I weened myself of sugar when I was in my late teens - completely changed my taste buds. Still have a serious weakness for ice cream though... not good, seeing as I shouldn't eat dairy

Default Goal #1 For 2011 - Look Like Mir

In his fight with Cheick Kongo, Frank Mir weighed in at 264.5 lbs = exactly 120 kgs. I am currently 313 lbs / 142 kgs (down from 148 in June last year) and am the same height as Mir (6 foot 3).

By sticking with the muscle building and diet regimen I have been following - and providing I can further reduce my alcohol consumption - I plan to reach this weight and build by the end of the year... if not smash it even further.

With my ever increasing muscle mass, my metabolism is also increasing. Add to that, training in this heat is having a tangible effect on my stamina. So I have great expectations.

11 months to lose 22 kgs / 48.5 lbs. I can do this.
