Default Stockdoc's Valhalla Rising

I'm seeing people around me doing extraordinary things and now it's my turn to explore my limits off strength.I'm officially declared healthy, can't see any reason why at 52 it would be too late to get stronger and I decided to put any fear aside. In a very civilized manner ,smiling and being humble,a new warrior is born,I will not let go!
In 12 weeks I'll be pulling 200kg,squatting 160kg and benching 120kg.
This will be adding 10,10 and 15kg to my lifts.
I know this sounds crazy, but I've been holding back out of fear of dropping dead, since I've joinded this powerlifting club it all seems rather normal that even older guys move serious weights. So I guess i'm past my new start now and hope to bring some interesting news!

No problems so far.
Decline bench press:
60kgx6
80kgx6
90x6
95x6
100x4
DB flyes:22kg x12,12,12,10
Weighted crunches:10kg plate x30,25,20,15,10.
happy with todays results, don't feel knackered at all.

Great start. 52 is just a number. I'll be 50 next January and I hope to be setting PRs well into my 50s. Just set those goals an go get them.

Thanks Mike and Steve,it's like Mike says:age is just a number! When you can't believe this have a look(on youtube)at Joe Stockinger,an 82 year old slim guy still lifting like hell on meets. Not for all of us...but it gives hope.
Anyway my trip to the gym today was a bit unexpected:
Bench,barx6
60kgx6
77.5x6
80x6
82.5x6
85x5(I missed the last rep)
87.5x4(yeah,not my day...I was hoping to progress to 90kgx6 without any problems,I guess some patience will be needed)
Next squatting was planned but because of the school holidays there were kids hanging about.I decided to do some heavy legpresses
80kgx12
120x12
160x10
200x10
220x10
240x10
I can only dream these figures would apply to my squat...it may add some strength in my next session hopefully.
seated calf raises:3sets of 15
leg curls and leg extensions:3 sets of 12(30 and 40kg)
I was a bit dissapointed with my bench today,on Saturday I did 4 reps with 100kg on the decline!

Week2 of the DL routine:
7 sets of 5 reps with 120kg:it feels light but the volume catches up with you the next day, that's what happened last week.
Standing OHP:
bar x6
40kgx6
45x6
50x6
55x4
60x2
40x10
to conclude I did some Hammer Strength Lat pulls
80kgx10,10,10,10
It may look I'm not doing enough but I prefere to stay fresh before to start handling the bigger weights, this is not the time to go to failure on DB curls!

Just keep plugging away and your goals will fall eventually. Patience now will be rewarded later for sure.

Good stuff Stockdoc.
