Default Magnesium and Zinc for Sleep

I have had a couple bodybuilders tell me that they take magnesium and zinc before bed for better sleep.

Has anyone tried this?

I tried ZMA. Waste of money IMO.. For me, SleepMD is all I need when I can't sleep. It does take about an hour to kick in on an empty stomach though..

have tryed ZMA(zinc, magnesium, B6)

it is supposed to increase your own testo production with 35%.

had crazy dreams, i mean "crack crazy" dreams.
some say this is a sign that i was in a deeper sleep, i dont know about that.

increased testo production?
well my sperm count went up pretty good, know this because i had it tested after 4 weeks on zma, so propably increased testo.
and yeah; my dad tryed this. he is pushing fifty soon so wanted to increase his testo production as well.
tested his testo production at the doctor, and the doctor was convinced he was using some kind of illegial anabolic drug, because it was much higher than what it was supposed to be.

me..
i stopped using zma,
my balls started hurting,
dont know if this is because of an increase in testo/sperm count, but just wouldnt risk getting an inflammed testicle or something

I first saw it at Wallys world, but now I get it at the local GNC, only because it's on the Air Base I work at gold card every day, and no taxes...

I went to AAEFX ZMA Elite and starting the first day sleep like a baby. The big thing is most take a meal with calcium before bed. Calcium stops the absorption of Magnesium rendering the ZMA in effective.

So I eat my last meal 1 1/2 hours before bed then take the AAEFX ZMA 1/2 before bed and at bed time take 7g of Leucine based BCAA mix.

Sleep like a baby.

I do have a bottle of the optimum nutrition ZMA. It is effective for sleep, but like Rich said only on an empty stomach. I doubt the legitimacy of increased test though.

Taking it for the test increase. NAA

Taking it for the REM sleep in which is the only time your body effectively repairs and heals.
