Have you considered crossed grip front squats, the way BBs and some strongman do them(Derek poundstone)?

I do them this way... At one point I was doing 275fs as a max, but I can barely do 135 with the oly grip.

I would love nothing more, but I need to get my wrist strength up; so I'm stuck with this god-awful Oly grip. I'll get used to it.

I use the Sting Ray for Front Squats:

Amazon.com: Sting Ray: Sports & Outdoors Amazon.com: Sting Ray: Sports & Outdoors

It elevates and stabilizes the bar so you can get a better grip.

Sorry guys. My internet's been down for the past while, so here's the updates on my workouts:

Thursday:

Bench Press:
125x5
145x3
155x2
165x2
185x1

Apparently, my ORM is 185lbs...

Incline DB Press:
35x10
50x5 (some dude stole the 45's and was talking on his cell in between sets. Rage!)
50x5
40x10

Weighted Dips:
30x10
35x6
45x6
60x3
70x1

Wanted to find my max on these. Failed on 70x2.

At this point I was feeling light-headed and tired, so I stopped for the day. Was intending to follow up with some SC/RTE's.

Today:

Deadlift:
185x6
225x4
275x3
325x3

Can't test my ORM till my belt arrives...

BB Rows:
135x8
155x6
165x5
175x3

Weighted Pull-Ups:
25x8
30x6
25x3

BB Curls:
60x7
70x5
70x7

Weighted Chin-Ups:
30x5
35x3
40x2
BWx6

Probably should have done these before my Curls; Biceps were dead.

So yeah...that's what you missed. :P

Why to knock out those 50's. I still can't picture these guys talking on their phones during a workout. I'm sure glad I don't lift in commercial gyms.

Congrats on the bench PR.

Legs/Shoulders

Back Squats:
155x8
175x6
225x4
265x1

Went down too far and got stuck in the hole on 265x2, or I would have made it.

Front Squats:
135x6
155x5
165x5

Military Press:
65x7
75x5
95x3
100x1

Slowly getting stronger with these.

Rear Delt Flys:
20x10
25x10
30x10

DB Shoulder Presses:
30x8
35x7
40x6

Didn't think my shoulders got hit hard enough, so I threw these in at the end.

Pretty good session, methinks...
