...this site is "The Home of Joe Mazza."

Perhaps there are 2 Joe Mazas?

The guy in the video with the kids isn't Mazza, but it appears to be Mazza's Youtube Channel.

Don't know the relationship between Joe and the guy coaching the kids in those videos. I just know that its not Joe Mazza directly coaching those kids.

To quote someone from another forum who I agree with to some extent:

"Yes, there can be a strong argument made that a base level of strength should be built before adding gear, that the bands are needlessly complicating the training (playing one's ace card when newbie gains can still be taken advantage of) and that strength should be built through a full ROM. However...

None of those things make the squat inherently dangerous. If you perform the movement correctly, you can treat it like any other movement and progressively overload it. The fact that so few have questioned the knees going forward and the general lack of stability really makes me wonder about what, exactly, people think they are seeing when they look at someone squat. If you see a kid squatting raw with no arch in his back knocking his knees together while he collapses down with straight weight and you find that preferable to a geared, wrapped half-squat/GM against bands but, where the walkout is rock-solid and the knees remain over the ankles and pushed out, well, we will have to agree to disagree. "

Ok it's not Mazza directly. However it is his gym, his channel, and more importantly his name that is associated with this.

Front page of his site shows a kid in that same wide stance squat setup. Like it or not his name is all over this.
