Talking 1st Meet, 1st place, State record, & Going to WABDL

Did my first meet. It was the Graves Fitness - Bash For Cash Meet. I just did Deadlift only. Came in first place outlifting everyone in all weight classes. The highest lift under my 520lb was the guy right before me who did 515 @ 220lbs. Any thoughts on my form. It was completely off. I was so nervous that my form was so different from how i practice. It's like i walked up to the bar went down to grab it and started pulling up. I usually use a form similar to dan green where i thrust my hips under the bar. But luckly this crazy form got the job done. 520 isn't my 1 rep max. The problem i faced was i felt i wouldn't be able to pull 500lbs so my attempts would be 455, 500, 500. But when i got to the meet the bar felt 45lbs lighter and everything was coming up so fast. Maybe it's because i'm use to LA Fitness bars. Good news is i got invited to WADBL Feb 21, 2015.

Meet by EPF (Elite Powerlifting Federation) - It was a state record also.

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Great job! Some damn solid numbers first time around!

Now that you have done a meet 525 is your max...gym numbers dont count anymore

Welcome to the club...you will forever chase bigger numbers now haha!

Also, form looked solid to me. A few things to adjust but like you said, i would chalk that up to being nervous.
