Awesome training day. Exactly what I needed to fix my head from last week. 705 is a 55 lb PR. I was good for even more. Not sure how much, but a bit. I took both 645, and 705 twice to get it down to undoubtable depth. I've got Brian Carroll calling my depth, so I have no questions. On to Monday bench. Both of these reps, at the bottom, I had to dump the bar onto the board to get it to touch
495x1 1 board. I got impatient on this one and did the same as before
515x1 1 board. Hit this rep damn near perfect. The bar came up so fast I had to fight myself from throwing it into the rack.

545x1 3 board
585x1 3 board
605x0 3 board. Just couldn't lock this out.

Dumbbell OH Presses
45's x 10 x 4 sets

Band Flys
3 sets of 12

Today was a weird day. I had some success, and some struggles. I think I was initially trying to hit that 1 board with too light a weight. Couple that with the fact that I wasn't taking the bar out far enough, and pulling the bar low, those early reps weren't going to touch. Once I started listening to my teammates, shit started going right.

The moral of the story is two fold. Surround yourself with people who are successful at what you are trying to do. To be the best, you have to learn from the best. Secondly, shut up and open your ears. You can't hear, nor can you apply the advice being given to you if you are running your mouth.

It was a weird day. I had some trouble hitting depth. All it took was a change in mentality. When the suit would bind me up and the pressure got rough, id come up if I felt like I was mooving too slow. I had to change my mode of thinking. The last set, a wasn't coming up until I got an up call. That's the way I need to be. Deads went fine. I pulled in a spud belt, instead of my normal lever. It made it easier to get to the bar, but I could crank the belt to get more ass out of it if I need.
