Default Friend needs advice

So i was talking to a friend the other day who just started working out and he said hes going for a "fitness model " type physique, so he's not trying to really build muscle just get lean and tone up so since he knows i workout he asked me what to do, so i explained to him that even to him that those guys have built a decent amount of muscle even tho they arent huge, and if he does that hes not gonna look like them hes just gonna be skinny, so he asked me for routine advice and i was just wondering if for that type of physique there would be any real difference from a bodybuilder

There's an Abercrombie Fitness Model (or just Model??) routine, on the internet (for free) and it's basically the same as bb set-up, build mass, then cut.

Here's a well known image of a fitness model;

Here's some amateur natty bodybuilders;

Congradulate your friend on becoming a bodybuilder. Tell him that he isn't special, and standard bodybuilding techniques/training are the way he needs to go. Get stronger on heavy compound movements. Gain quility weight. Cut only after there's enough muscle to justify cutting in the first place.

Now, if he wants to look like a fashion model? Just stop eating and go screw yourself for being a pussy. (Him, not you.)

Regular Models = Lean/muscular/skinny/tall/blond, it all depends on target audience
Fitness Models = Muscles with "stuff" to be get shredded
Bodybuilders = Muscles with "stuff" to get huge

Nothing wrong with it just the reality of it. Most known fitness models/bodybuilders (on covers/popular/what not) are on stuff because they have to be for their look. He needs muscle regardless of what he does, then to lose fat. If he is really insistent on not wanting to get muscle have him lose weight first and he will see it clearly is not working and he will gladly want to build muscle then.

Absolutely true. Most fitness models use at least low dose gear and fat burners like clen and even T3. That's how they get to be just a bit bigger than big dudes and way more cut than cut dudes. They also peak for shoots just like bodybuilders peak for shows.

Tell him to be a man, grow a beard, eat a steak, and lift something.

Soldier, summed it up best - "Now, if he wants to look like a fashion model? Just stop eating and go screw yourself for being a pussy. (Him, not you.)"
