I agree. A separate section with a catchy name like "The get laid physique" section, lol. This crowd always turn up in the workout program section in bb.com

hehe, nice one. But actually I think there are some more of such words -

Abstentious
Arsenious
Arterious

There are some more as well that I dont recall. Not surprisingly, most start with A, although there are one or two more such words that dont start with A.

"The get laid physique" section. Maybe MAB will blaze a trail in the future. If we start to get inquiries about this style of training, we can set up a new forum, and I can create a persona that is 50% Eminem and 50% ripped Hugh Jackman.

A lot of people just want to look good naked. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not my training style, and I think my way works better for the functional naked part anyway.

Maybe that could be a style of training. Functional naked training.

Nothing wrong with it at all. But the curious thing is that most bodybuilders try to turn the "six-pack-and-abbers" into bodybuilders.

That's why I'm think that someday we'll have a forum for guys who just want to get jacked asap.

I think Rippetoe said it best (I paraphrase), "There's no sense in having a six-pack unless you have a chest to keep it in."

As some of you may know, I wrote an article months back for Natural Muscle Mag called Squats and Milk, And Then Some. I basically put my simple twist on squats and milk. The workout looks like this:

Monday

* 20-Rep Squats
* Bench Press, 3 sets x 5 reps
* Barbell Rows or Yates Rows, 3 sets x 5 reps
* Seated Overhead DB or BB Press, 2 sets x 6-10 reps
* Romanian Deadlifts, 2 sets x 6-10 reps

Wednesday

* Deadlifts, 10 singles
* Closegrip Bench Press, 3 sets x 6-10 reps
* DB or BB Curls, 3 sets x 6-10 reps
* Ab Work, 2-3 sets

Friday

* 20-Rep Squats
* Dips, 3 sets x 6-10 reps
* Pull-ups (or negative pull-ups), 3 sets x 6-10 reps
* Upright Rows, 2 sets x 6-10 reps
* Standing or Seated Calf Raises, 2 sets x 10-25 reps

Exercises can be switched, of course. It's simply a template.

Anywho, long story short, I get a message from a young lifter:

This is not the complete email. I replied and stressed that he keep adding 5 pounds on squats each workout. That would be 40 pounds per month, and 240 pounds in 6 months. I truly hope this youngster follows the program for at least 6 months. I'd like to see him go from..."This is to easy" to using my name as a curse word.

This looks a little like the routine you gave me. I like the way this one is laid out. I am going to continue to use the one you gave me for another few months the maybe try this one.

This is close to the routine I gave you:

2 Day Simple A/B Split by Steve | Muscle & Strength

It's one I added to Muscle and Strength, and is my slant on John Christy's approach.

I come across a lot of guys like that at the gym I work at. I call them "upperbody phenoms", because the consider their running on the treadmill as their leg workout

I had some more woes today. I spend some time helping beginner. I placed him on a simple A/B, John Christy-like split. 2 days later he decides that my routine doesn't have a direct trap exercise, so it's no good. Before you know it, he's tinkering with the routine and I pull out.

Note to beginners...want big traps? Deadlift until you can hit 400+ pounds. After that point, assess your trap growth and make necessary course corrections.

Beginners would rather do dumbbell shrugs then deadlifts.
